Homework: students biggest enemy!

Homework: students biggest enemy
After attending long hours of lectures at college what students expect for, is some break, some rest after reaching home. But no! They are forced to seat with their books and complete the so called ‘homework’. Homework is like a burden which is difficult to bear. If students are not given free environment they will remain diseased forever. They have many subjects at college and if homework is counted in terms of time, it does not free them even in their sleep. And many a times it so happens that a single subject is taught by more than one teacher and all these teachers give different homework adding more tension to the students mind.
Homework generates a sense of fear and avoidable tension. Students can’t think or do anything else because, this homework is always on their minds.
What is the main reason behind giving homework? Isn’t it a part of exercise for the students? Then the decision of doing it should be left to them. Forcing a student to do something that he/she is not interested in will not increase his/her knowledge, in fact; it will only pressurize their minds.
