Are the students ‘Safe’ or not??
Nestled in the plateau of Taleigao Goa University is the only University that Goa can boast about. But is the university in its true sense comparable to the other Universities across India?? .This remains a big question in our minds.  But there is a long way that it has to cover before being counted among the top universities of India. The university seems to be in a dilapidated state, with no improvement in the infrastructure. Though being a government aided institution it still has to await the officials to take heed of the conditions there. With no proper infrastructure the fear that haunts our minds is that “are the students safe or not?”
Security of oneself being the prime concern today one has to give a thought whether the university is a safe place to be in or not. The premises are so vulnerable as there is no compound surrounding the university building. The absence of a compound as well as a common entrance for all makes the premises liable to anyone and everyone who wish to enter. Hence there is no check on the people who enter and leave the premises. Therefore this acts as a threat to the students studying in various departments. Building a compound wall for the university campus as well as accommodating it with security guards can put the students and their guardians at ease when it comes to the question of safety.  A lot of hue and cry of introducing various schemes to enhance education but fails to look at the condition in which a student is compelled to study at the risk of their security.
